Digital Content Managers – (Two 2-year terms starting in January 2019)
The Association for Feminist Anthropology seeks two new members for our social media team! We are looking for feminist scholars to join our effort to broaden and sharpen our online presence. The AFA digital content co-managers are appointed members of the AFA Executive Board, working closely with the President, Secretary and existing three-person web development team.
Successful applicants will be responsible for updating and maintaining the AFA Twitter and Facebook feeds, and for contributing to a short annual report for the AFA Board. The ideal candidates will have the vision and skills to increase AFA’s online visibility by driving traffic through generating new content and coordinating with other team members.
The positions are two-year commitments. The coming two years will see a redesign of the section’s website and integration with a new peer-reviewed journal, making this an exciting moment to be contributing to AFA. The amount of work entailed is directly dependent on the content manager’s availability, interest, and vision but total time commitment should not exceed an average of 7-10 hours/month.
To apply for this position, we ask that you submit a current CV and short cover letter, highlighting your relevant experience for the role. We will forward all applications on to our board members for consideration. Please submit your documents promptly to: [email protected]
